Credential Assembly Service (CAS)
All applicants are required to register for the Credential Assembly Service (CAS) as part of the application process. Information and registration materials for the CAS are available from the Law School Admission Council at www.lsac.org. They may also be contacted at:
P.O. Box 2000
Newton, PA 18940-0998
215-968-1001
Nearly all ABA approved and non-ABA approved require the use of The Credential Assembly Service (CAS). The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) collects the US and Canadian academic records of law school applicants and summarizes the undergraduate work according to a standard 4.0 system to simplify the admissions process.
The Credential Assembly Service (CAS) creates your law school report by combining:
- An academic summary report;
- LSAT score(s) and writing sample(s);
- Copies of all undergraduate, graduate, and law/professional school transcripts; and
- Copies of Letters of Recommendation
IMPORTANT: You should register and pay the Credential Assembly Service at least four to six weeks before your Law School Application's deadline. It will take approximately two weeks to process a transcript or letter of recommendation from the time it is received.
You may learn more about the CAS by visiting: http://www.lsac.org/applying/lsdas-general-information.asp
