Attention Rising 2Ls, 3Ls & 4Ls: Important OCI Planning Announcement for August 2008

Our first Fall 2008 On-Campus-Interviews will be held on Friday, September 5th.

What does this mean to you?  Resumes and other requested items will need to be turned into the Career Services Office by Tuesday, August 19th. (That is only the second day of classes, so you'll want to update your resume and other materials before school begins.)

The Fall 2008 OCI schedule will be posted here and will be updated regularly throughout the summer.  Our summer hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 4:30.  Setting an appointment is recommended, though not required.  Contact Jerie at 852-6096 or Debra at 852-6368.

General Information About the Career Services Office

The Career Services Office helps Brandeis students and alumni in their employment efforts through general information sessions and individual counseling. Students are equipped for the job search process through education, information and access to experienced staff.

Brandeis School of Law graduates have achieved an employment rate above the national average, generally more than 95 percent of each graduating class find employment within six months of graduation. Two-thirds of graduates received their employment offers before graduation.

Career Services provides on-campus interviews for summer and full-time employment in addition to individual job search assistance. The office maintains lists of law firms in Kentucky and throughout the country; state, local and federal job listings; and information on graduate law programs.

Each year, Career Services sponsors a Career Day program that provides opportunities for students to meet and talk with practitioners in a wide variety of legal areas. Each fall, a number of lawyers who do not practice law are invited to meet with students who are interested in researching alternative uses for their JD. These programs enable students to consider the vast array of career applications for a legal education.

The Career Services library resources include legal directories and numerous career planning publications.
