The University's police, health and safety officials work with agencies throughout the community to review Louisville's readiness for natural or man-made emergencies. The result of these efforts is the emergency procedures list. These procedures are designed to assist and guide members of the U of L community when emergencies do occur.

UofL also has an Alert System. During an emergency or when campus conditions affect class/work schedules, subscribers will will receive information on their phone or via email.
