The Office of Admissions is hosting a Preview Day on Saturday, November 7 for prospective students. The event will take place from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the School of Law. This is an excellent opportunity for friends, relatives, or acquaintances to learn more about the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.We will offer a mock class with Professor John Cross, a student panel, information on careers in the legal profession as well as an admission/financial aid Q&A. Ever consider studying abroad, as part of your legal education? An information session is scheduled for noon on Wednesday, November 11, in Room 075. Ms Virginia Hosono, Assistant Director, from the International Center will be there to answer questions, and our own Colleen Hagan will speak about her summer abroad experience. Professor Kathleen Bean, Associate Dean for Student Life, will also attend.

The Women Lawyers Association will honor two of our graduates at its annual awards luncheon on November 12.

All members should plan to attend the November BLSA meeting on Thursday, November 12th. We will discuss plans for next semester as well as our community service project and fundraiser. Lunch will be provided.
The U.S. Postal Service and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law will honor the city’s native son, Louis D. Brandeis, on the 153rd anniversary of his birth.Brandeis is featured on a new set of commemorative stamps, which also includes U.S. Supreme Court associate justices Joseph Story, Felix Frankfurter and William J. Brennan Jr.A presentation will be held at 10 AM in room 275. Congressman John Yarmuth, Louisville Postmaster Richard Curtsinger, and Dean Chen will speak. Prior to the event, Professor and Distinguished University Scholar Laura Rothstein will present a slide show on the life and history of Brandeis in her Property class at 9 AM. The public is welcome to attend that as well. The commemorative stamp and other Brandies publications and memorabilia will be available for purchase. Parking is available at the Speed Museum near the law school on Third Street. The Student Animal Legal Defense Fund will be selling coffee and
doughnuts during the Brandeis Birthday Celebration from 9am - 11am. Doughnuts - $1, Coffee - $1.50. We hope you will join
