Papers: Stories of Undocumented Youth : A Film Screening The film, Papers: Stories of Undocumented Youth, illuminates some of the insurmountable struggles that undocumented children and their families face living in the United States. An estimated 65,000 undocumented students graduate from high school every year in the United States with little or no opportunity for higher education or ever garnering gainful employment. The DREAM Act (Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors)addresses the situation of students who came to the U.S. with their parents as young children and who were constitutionally guaranteed a free elementary and secondary education, only to graduate from high school and become unlawfully present when they turn 18 years old.Free, light lunch available at 11:30am.Open to all.

The Student Animal Legal Defense Fund is hosting the fourth annual Puppy Palooza! It will be at the dog park behind O'sheas on Bardstown Road. We encourage all dog owners and to bring their furry four legged friends for a day of doggy bliss. This event is fun for those who do not own dogs as well, as we will have plenty of human-oriented activities. We will be selling t-shirts and animal friendly food and tasty treats. There will be pet competitions including best trick and cutest dog. We will also be holding a silent auction that includes t-shirts, goody baskets for humans and dogs, gift cards and many more fun items. The proceeds will go to the Animal Care Society which is a non-profit organization formed to find new homes for pets whose owners can no longer care for them. We will also be collecting donation items like cat food, towels, paper towels and other cleaning supplies for Alley Cat Advocates. Alley Cat Advocates is also a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide for the humane treatment of unowned cats in the metropolitan Louisville area. So come to Puppy Palooza, because no one can resist a puppy
