Prior to being hired by the University of Louisville in June 2006, Virginia was a systems librarian for the Gemini Observatory in Hilo, HI. She's been employed as an academic librarian for both the University of Hawaii and Sullivan University. She developed an interest in research and technology while working as an Internet Content Provider for About.com during the heady days of the dot com boom. Her responsibilities at the law school include legal research & reference, communications, content management, social networking and tech support. She is the proud recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Chapter Member Award of the Special Libraries Association's Kentucky Chapter and currently serves as the chapter's President-Elect.
