Exam4 Essentials for Fall 2011
So students may use their computers to take exams, UofL Law licenses Extegrity’s Exam4, available for both PC and Mac, which provides a stable, secure word processing environment and locks out access to the Internet, files and all other applications. Below is important information for the Fall 2011 semester, including recent Exam4 software changes; specific information about the Legal Research final; general information for all students about all other exams, including Professional Responsibility; system requirements and download and installation instructions; policies and procedures; and helpful resources.

| Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) now supported! | Extegrity’s Exam4 now supports Apple’s Mac OS 10.7 (Lion). Currently supported operating systems are listed below. |
| Windows XP and Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) no longer supported. | Extegrity has withdrawn Exam4 support for Apple’s Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) and Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system. Students with unsupported operating systems must forgo using their computers to take exams or make appropriate upgrades to use Exam4. Currently supported operating systems are listed below. |

| Info for Graduate (non-Law) Students |
Graduate students enrolled in law classes may take exams on their computers, subject to each professor's approval, but only if they comply with the same deadlines and other requirements applicable to law students. Every graduate student who wishes to use his or her computer to take law school exams must complete and submit the Request Form for Graduate Students to Take Exams on Computer no later than the end of the second week of the School of Law's semester. |
