UofL Law licenses Extegrity's Exam4 to allow students to take exams on their laptop computers. Available for both PC and Mac, Exam4 provides a stable, secure word processing environment and locks out access to the Internet, files and all other applications. Below is important information about and helpful resources for using Exam4 this semester.
The Important Stuff
ALL previous versions of Exam4 have expired and will no longer function.
For final exams in all classes, you must download, install and take a practice test by the deadline (below) using the current version of Exam4, which is available now.

Virtual operating systems are not supported.
Download and Install Exam4
Go to Extegrity's Web site
Click for Law schools
On the alphabetical list, click K for Kentucky
Under Kentucky, click University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law
Complete the Registration Form by providing your first and last name, class year and e-mail address, select your operating system and click the Submit form button
Read the download and installation instructions for your browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox), then check the acknowledgement box. After checking the box, a download link will appear
Click the download link and follow the appropriate instructions for your browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox)
Take and Submit a Practice Test
Identify yourself in the Exam Number field with only your ULink user name (e.g., lhoswa01).
On the Course menu, select S12f Practice exam.
You must be on campus and connected to ulsecure to submit any Exam4 exam electronically.
Remember that failure to timely submit a practice test excludes you from technical assistance during actual exams.

Info for Graduate (non-Law) Students
Graduate students enrolled in law classes may take exams on their computers, subject to each professor's approval, but only if they comply with the same deadlines and other requirements applicable to law students. Every graduate student who wishes to use his or her computer to take law school exams must complete and submit the Request Form for Graduate Students to Take Exams on Computer no later than the end of the second week of the School of Law's semester.
