Barry Bernson to Host Lawlapalooza 2009

Barry Bernson, co-host of Fox 41's morning news show, will serve as master of ceremonies at Lawlapalooza 2009, Thursday, October 1, at the Phoenix Hill Tavern. Mr. Bernson's journalism career spans 45 years, and he has been a well-known presence on Louisville radio and television since 1969.
Should Lawlapalooza event registration for bands be moved to an earlier date?

In no particular order, the following eight bands have registered for Lawlapalooza 2009:

The Velvetkings
The Golden Rockets
HeadTap
Keltricity
Assault With a Deadly Weapon
100% Legal
The Ben Fultz Five
Assuming none of these first eight registrants drops out, the entertainment bill is now full. However, if you had planned to register and have not yet, go ahead and do so. Your band will be wait-listed and can fill the gap if one of the first eight does drop out.
Band Registration for Lawlapalooza 2009

Event registration for bands that want to participate in Lawlapalooza 2009, Thursday, October 1, at the Phoenix Hill Tavern, begins at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 1, and closes at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, September 15.
Lots of bands have expressed interest in performing this year, including one or two new bands and several that haven't participated for the past two or more years.

Lawlapalooza, the Louisville legal community's annual battle of the bands, will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009, at the Phoenix Hill Tavern. This fun-filled evening of music benefits the Judge Ellen B. Ewing Foundation, which provides summer fellowships for University of Louisville law students to work in the areas of family law, domestic violence and spouse abuse, and HIV/AIDS.

General admission tickets will be available at the door, but can be purchased in advance online. Band registration fees should also be be paid online. Student tickets must be purchased in advance at the Law Resource Center at the law school, across from room 275.
