Battle of the Legal Bands, 2005
The first annual Battle of the Bands took place September 22, 2005 at the Phoenix Hill Tavern. The winning band was Greenebaum Doll McDonald's The Breakthroughs. The other groups that participated were:

Lawlapalooza Tour 2006
In 2006, the Battle of the Legal Bands was renamed "Lawlapalooza." The Master of Ceremonies was Aaron Miller of 102.3 The Max, and the event sponsors were Marshall P. Eldred, Jr., Thomas B. Givhan and Ann Oldfather.
The event was held September 21, 2006 at the Phoenix Hill Tavern, and once again, Greenebaum Doll McDonald's band, 100% Legal, took first place. The six other groups that particpated were:

Lawlapalooza Tour 2007
The third Lawlapalooza was held September 20, 2007, once again at the Phoenix Hill Tavern, with new Louisville Law School Dean Jim Chen serving as master of ceremonies. The Tortfeasors, from Seiller Waterman, took first place. The other participating acts were:

Lawlapalooza Tour 2008
Lawlapalooza 2008 was held October 2, once again at the Phoenix Hill Tavern, with WPFK's Laura Shine acting as mistress of ceremonies. The Frank Galvin Experience, with attorneys from Bahe Cook Cantley and Jones and Seiller Waterman, took first place. The other participating acts were:

Lawlapalooza Tour 2009
Lawlapalooza 2009 was held October 1 at the Phoenix Hill Tavern, with Fox 41's Barry Bernson as the master of ceremonies. The first place band was Assault with a Deadly Weapon, featuring third-year law students Andrew Henson and Forrest Kuhn. The other participating acts were:

Lawlapalooza 2010
Lawlapalooza 2010 was held September 30 at the Phoenix Hill Tavern, with law students Jennifer Siewertsen and Alex White as the masters of ceremonies. The first place band was The Subconscionables, featuring law school professors Lars Smith and Tim Hall, Dr. Stephanie Hall, and assistant dean Jim Becker.
