The Fall 2013 Hiring Season is approaching rapidly. The first on-campus interviews begin on Thursday, August 8, 2013, the week prior to new student orientation and employers such as Bingham Greenebaum Doll, Frost Brown Todd, Stites & Harbison and Wyatt Tarrant & Combs will be participating. Rising second- and third-year students may now apply to Session 1 employers.
To view a list of participating employers, go to the announcements page (home page) on Symplicity. To apply to employers, click on the "OCI" tab in Symplicity and select Session 1. Please review the hiring information and requirements for each employer. The deadline to apply for Session 1 employers is Sunday, July 28th. Louisville Bar Association for its 6th annual "Get on Track" program
geared toward introducing area law students and summer associates to the
practice of law in the Louisville legal community. In addition to breakout
sessions there will be a panel discussion with judges of the district and
circuit courts who will offer tips on preparing for life post-law school.
will take place at the Louisville Bar Center (600 W. Main St., Ste. 110).
Fort Knox Legal Services and Office of the Judge Advocate General has been approved as a new placement.
Law students will collaborate with JAG officers and civilian attorneys in areas of Criminal Justice, Administrative Law, walk-in Legal Assistance, non-judicial military punishment (Article 15 hearings), involuntary separation boards, and other legal matters. Students will be expected to perform legal research and legal analysis of State, Federal, and Military rules and regulations. They will communicate their findings and recommendations through information
papers, memorandums, and oral presentations to their partner JAG officers.

This is a part-time (12 hours per week) position for 16 weeks beginning the week of July 29th. Judge Orth is seeking a rising 3L or recent graduate to aid with research and writing, help anticipate issues and assist with all areas involving a death penalty case. Will also consider a rising 2L student who has taken Criminal and Constitutional Law.
Hours are flexible. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a Capital Murder case from beginning to end.

East-end firm with practice areas in civil litigation, employment, class actions, contracts and bad faith is seeking a student who has just completed their second year. Position will be part-time during the summer and continue into the academic year.

The following is information on student participation:
(1) Students should sign up for this event online at the link provided above and select up to 10 firms they wish to interview with. June 28, 2013 is the student registration deadline.
(2) Student resume packets should contain the following:
* Cover Letter (Addressed to the attention of the “Hiring Committee”)
* Student Resume
* Unofficial Transcripts – Law and Undergraduate
* Writing Sample (NO WRITING SAMPLE LONGER THAN 5 PAGES WILL BE ACCEPTED)
The Tennessee Bar Association Diversity Job Fair staff will not make copies of any student resume packets. STUDENTS ARE SENDING A RESUME PACKET FOR EACH EMPLOYER THEY WISH TO INTERVIEW WITH.
(3). Employers will select students they wish to interview, plus up to 10 alternates. Students will be given the opportunity to accept or decline interviews. Final interview schedules are sent to employers and schools August 2, 2013.
