New Session added to Spring 2013 Hiring Season - KY Department of Public Advocacy

The Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy will be interviewing interested 1L/2L students for an unpaid summer intern position on March 1st.  Interested students may apply beginning February 1 on Symplicity.

Unpaid summer intern positions are available in any of the Trial offices across the state as well as the Frankfort Post Trial Division.  Positions begin in mid-May and end in early August.  The work week is 37.5 hours with a total of 450 hours for the 12 week internship.

The experiences of summer interns are as varied as the offices in which they are assigned.  However, they receive mentoring and training in all situations.  Writing briefs, conducting law research, transcribing trial tapes, and taking part in client interviews are examples of what a DPA summer intern may expect.
