Congratulations to Carli Clowers and Jillian Smith

This past weekend, the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law team of Carli Clowers and Jillian Smith competed at the American Bar Association Negotiation Competition National Finals in Dallas.
Carli and Jillian made it to the Semi-Final Round and ended up 10th in the nation, out of about 240 teams that participated in the regionals nationwide and 24 teams that went on to the nationals.  Carli and Jillian did an excellent job of negotiating, outperforming higher ranked teams, and being perceived by some judges as the top team that those judges saw negotiate.  They were highly professional, skilled, and effective, representing Louisville well.
Appreciation is extended to the current and former students who helped Carli and Jillian to practice the negotiation problems as they got ready for nationals (Emily Peeler, Patrick Markey, Dave Scott, Nicole Crump, and Jeff Hall)!
This year's team was coached by Mary Jo Gleason and Professor Tony Arnold.  The Law School has taken 2 teams to nationals in the past 3 years.
