Meet Grendel and Beowulf on Monday!

Grendel (on left) is a 6-year old American Bulldog.  He was found as a stray in Bourbon County in 2009, and is thought to have been used as a "bait animal" in dog-fighting as he was horribly scarred when rescued. His temperament is very passive and sweet - he is referred to as an 85-pound 'cupcake.'  With his buddy, Beowulf (on right), he has visited many nursing homes, schools, hospitals, Library READ programs, and is also a Hospice and VA volunteer. This gentle giant is especially good with children. He excels at being a lapdog. Grendel was awarded his CGC (Canine Good Citizenship) from the AKC in Nov. 2010. He has been a certified Therapy Dog through Pawsibilities Unleashed since early 2010.

Beowulf was pulled from an Ohio shelter in Nov. 2007. He is approx. 8 yrs old. He received his therapy certification in early 2008. Beowulf enjoys playing fetch and LOVES chasing a laser light in the dark. Like Grendel, he routinely participates in the Books & Best Friends reading program, VA volunteer, Hospice, schools for Canine Safety Education, nursing homes and hospitals. Both have represented Pawsibilities Unleashed in a number of parades and outdoor events. Both participated in the Heroes Night Out at Ft. Knox last year where they welcomed home returning troops and their families.

To help ease some of your stress, the law school is going to the dogs on the last day of classes - Monday, April 22

We've invited some of the most well-mannered certified therapy dogs from Pawsibilities Unleashed, a non-profit group based in Kentucky, to the law school.

Take several breaks from studying on Monday to visit and play with these adorable dogs.  Two sessions will be offered, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The dogs will be stationed in 5 areas throughout the school: (1) law library lobby; (2) Mosaic lobby; (3) Professional Development area; (4) Washer Lounge; and (5) outside in front of the Law School.  We hope that the stress of looming exams will be lifted for a couple of hours on Monday!

14 certified therapy dogs are excited to meet you!
