Mandatory Student Organizations Meeting at Law School - Aug 20
The annual required student organizations meeting will be during the first week of classes on Tuesday, August 20, in Room 175, from 12:05 to 1:30. At least one officer (preferably two) from each student organization must attend. We'll provide lunch. You’ll hear from Dean Duncan and other administrators who work closely with student organizations. We will discuss important policies, demonstrate how to update your student organization’s page on the Law School website, how to create content for the Student Organizations daily email, as well as how to reserve rooms for events, among other things. Mark this on your calendar and please make sure the officer(s) responsible for PR, scheduling events, fundraising, etc. attend.
Mandatory University RSO Meeting – September 20
Each year, the University hosts a mandatory RSO meeting for Recognized Student Organizations. We recommend that law school student organizations apply for RSO status and maintain good standing. RSOs are eligible to request special project funds from the University. In addition, the Student Bar Association has funds available for student law groups that are RSOs.
This year, the RSO Summit will be held on Friday, September 20, in the SAC Multipurpose Room. Registration will open at 4pm and the meeting will start 4:30 and run until 7:30pm. Free food will be provided by Flavour’s Catering. Groups should pre-register for the Summit at: https://orgsync.com/41108/forms/68240. If you have questions about your RSO status with the University, please contact Victoria Spencer, Graduate Assistant to Recognized Student Organizations, at 852-0319 or email@example.com.
