The Business Law Society is hosting a panel of local in-house counsel to provide an in depth look at their roles within their copmpanies and career avenues after law school. Please join us on Thursday, April 3rd at 12:00pm - 1:00pm in room 275. Our distinguished panel will discuss their job search experiences and answer questions regarding their career path, the current job marketplace, as well as their respective practices.

Matthew Hamel—Executive Vice president and General Counsel of Brown-FormanAs general counsel, Hamel leads Brown-Forman’s legal team, overseeing legal activities related to corporate governance, SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, regulatory compliance, trade practices, trademarks, litigation, acquisitions and other matters.

Greg Hoffman - Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Commercial Counsel at General Electric. Major areas of focus include: UCC contract drafting/negotiating, antitrust, and risk-assessment.
