National Law Students Workers' Rights Conference - October 17 & 18, 2014
If you are interested in employment law, now is the time to consider attending the National Law Students Workers' Rights Conference. The Conference will be on October 17 and 18 at The Conference Center at the Maritime Institute, Linthicum Heights, MD.
The conference is sponsored by the Peggy Browning Fund which will pay expenses for one student nominated by the law school to attend. The deadline for students to register asking for paid airfare is August 28. More information can be found by reviewing the attachments below or by visiting their website at www.peggybrowningfund.org.
If you are interested in attending and want to be considered as the nominee from the law school for the Peggy Browning Fund to pay for your airfare, please provide a brief statement describing why you are interested in attending, including the following information: 1) What demonstrated commitment you have to advancing workers' rights, if any; 2) Are you willing to leave KY or in what state do you hope to practice? Submit your statement to Jina Scinta at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, August 18th.
Funds for airfare are disbursed on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, we encourage students to register early.
The registration deadline for students who are interested in attending and have other funding available is Thursday, October 2.
