National Moot Court Team Tryouts

The National Moot Court team, the Law School's flagship moot court team, will hold try-outs next week.  The regionals for the National Moot Court competition are held each November in Richmond, Virginia, and the finals are held in New York in January or February.

All students, including current 1Ls, are invited to try out.  Students interested in trying out for the team must sign up for a time to present their oral argument on Wednesday, April 8, Thursday, April 9, or Friday, April 10.  The oral argument counts for 50% of your tryout score.  The sign up sheet is located on the Moot Court Board door.  The deadline for signing up is 4:00 on Monday, April 6.

Students must also submit a brief (can be, but does not have to be, your BLS brief) to Professor Marcosson in his office by 4:00 on April 6.  The brief will count for 50% of your tryout score.

Questions may be addressed to Professor Marcosson or Steve Mattingly, Brian Stempien, Duffy Trager, or Barry Dunn, or the members of last year's team.
