STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS: Funding Available Through UL's SGA ** Mandatory Meeting **
Mandatory Recognized Student Organization (RSO) Meetings: All law school organizations are strongly encouraged to send someone to attend one (1) of the University's Student Government Organization (SGA) upcoming mandatory RSO meetings: Tuesday, Sept. 18 (12-1:30) OR Wednesday, Sept. 26
(3-4:30). If someone from your organization cannot make it to either of these dates, please contact Ashley Jones at 852-1375 -- there will be make-up meeting on
Nov. 7 from 3-4:30. LOCATION: All meetings are scheduled in the Floyd Theater.
Information about RSO's can be found at: http://louisville.edu/sga/rso-central (particularly "How to Create a New RSO" and downloading an RSO application). If your organization is already an RSO, please provide this status to the SBA -- Jennifer Schultz (jaschu07@louisville).
What's in it for law school organizations? If you become a UL RSO, you may be eligible to receive money for travel, speakers, and/or "special projects." The total amount is approximately $1500 (about $700 for travel -- $125/person max, $500 for speakers, and $500 for special projects). Funds are only available for RSOs. NOTE: During the 2006-2007 year, SGA provided funds in support of the students who volunteered at New Orleans Legal Aid.
