Student Bar Foundation Meeting (Open to 1Ls!)
If you are interested in being an at-large member of the Student Bar Foundation, please attend the meeting, TODAY - Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 12:00pm in room 171. Membership is open to 1Ls! Dessert will be provided. If you are interested but cannot attend, please email Carly Harvey at email@example.com. We hope to see you there!
The Student Bar Foundation is a charitable student-run organization that helps raise funds for student fellowships in law-related public service work. Each spring, we host a charity auction which raises money through a silent and live auction for our annual fellowships. This year’s Auction will be held March 29, 2012 at the Louisville Slugger Museum.
There are benefits to being an at-large member! While SBF fellowships are open to all Brandeis students, priority is given to at-large members of the Student Bar Foundation. Past fellowships allowed students to work at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse, the Department of Public Advocacy, Legal Aid, KY Refugee Ministries, the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, the Kentucky Supreme Court, the Department of Justice, the National Juvenile Justice Network, the Center for Women and Families, and international service-learning programs in Rwanda and Belize.
