Duplex Printing Is Coming
In an effort to get on board with the University’s sustainability efforts, and in response to requests from students, the IT Department has purchased and installed duplexers, which enable two-sided printing, on all student network printers (first floor lab, basement lab and laptop). Beginning Monday, January 16th, 2012, the default settings on those printers will change from one-sided to two-sided printing. Students will still be able to print documents one-sided if they wish or must, but they will have to choose that option deliberately. Instructions for doing so have been posted in both labs.
For course work, extracurricular teams or other activities for which students must submit writings, please now be aware of this change in student printing. For the time being, this change will not affect printing at the UofL Law Clinic, for faculty research assistants, or in student organization offices.
