Last Day to Sign Up for the Pirtle-Washer Oral Advocacy Competition

If you are a 2L or 3L interested in oral advocacy, the Moot Court
Board encourages you to sign up for the Pirtle-Washer Oral Advocacy
competition. The competition will be held at the Hall of Justice on
October 13 and the final rounds will be held in the Allen Courtroom on
October 20. This competition is in its 41st year at the Brandeis School
of Law and past champions include Justice Lisabeth Hughes Abramson and
Judge Ann Bailey Smith. The winner will receive $1000, runner-up will
receive $500, and third and fourth place finishers will receive $250
each. This competition does not require competitors to write a brief OR
perform any outside research. All materials will be provided to
competitors. The sign-up sheet is posted on the Moot Court Board office
door until Sept. 13 at 8pm. Please email VP of Internal
