"I first stepped into the Brandeis School of Law as a scholarship recipient to attend the 2001 First Annual Louisville Bar Foundation/Brandeis School of Law Summer Law Institute Program. This program served as a mechanism to allow high school students to learn about the practice and profession of law. The Summer Law Institute inspired me to stay interested in law. Ten years later I am a third year law student at UofL Law and proudly serve as president of the Black Law Students Association, and a student attorney at the UofL Law Clinic.
I am the 2010 champion of the annual Pirtle-Washer Moot Court Competition and a member of the 2011 UofL Law National Mock Trial Team. My time here has been impacted by the various extracurricular activities and public service work in which I have participated. These experiences have been rewarding and have allowed me to connect with many talented students, professors and practitioners."
