Welcome to the Office of Professional Development. Our mission is to assist students with every aspect of their job search process while ensuring that their public service requirement is met. We are dedicated to serving our students, whether the are seeking part-time or full-time employment, finding a public service placement or learning about a legal or nontraditional career.
Our office offers general information sessions as well as individual counseling to students who are interested in developing their legal experience. Career information is provided to students through educational sessions, organizing meetings with experienced staff and offering various additional resources throughout the semester. We also provide many opportunities for students to meet and talk with practitioners who represent a wide variety of legal careers.
Public Service is an integral part of the career development of every law student. The Samuel L. Greenebaum Public Service Program offers students the opportunity to gain practical legal experience, while building a foundation for their legal career path. To reflect the increasing diversity of our students, consistent effort is being made to ensure students are connected with employment opportunities in diverse substantive fields, geographic regions and workplace settings.
Employers may post a job listing online at no charge. We offer many ways to connect with students face-to-face, including on-campus interviews and resume collection. Employers may contact us directly if they have clerking, intern or full-time opportunities for our students, or are interested in being a student mentor.
