As a part of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law's tradition of public service, all students are required to perform a minimum of 30 hours of law-related public service prior to graduation. Each year, more than 4,000 hours of law student assistance is donated to local, state and national organizations through this program.
Through participation in public service students develop skills in dealing with real clients and real legal issues. With appropriate supervision, students perform a number of law-related tasks including research, writing, client interviewing, policy analysis, document preparation and in-court assistance.
