Michael is responsible for the disposition of superseded materials and the processing of reporters, digests, state codes, legal encyclopedias, and GPO publications. Michael joined the Brandeis staff in 1990.

Michael has served as the Law School's Staff Senator since 2004. In that capacity, Michael serves of the Plans and Policies Committee as well as the Human Resources Advisory Committee. Other university wide service includes the Commision of Diversity and Racial Equality on which he represents the Faculty and Staff for Human Rights.

In addition to his library  and committee work Michael is a long time member of the Early Music Ensemble under the direction of Jack Ashworth. This university group performs pre-classical vocal and instrumental music in the Margaret Comstock Concert Hall at the School of Music and various area churches.
