Nakia is a native of Lexington, KY. As a graduate of the University of Louisville, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English in December 2008. In 2009, Nakia began working for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Louisville as an Admissions Counselor for Diversity Recruitment before assuming her current role as an Admissions Counselor with the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. Presently, Nakia is pursuing her Masters Degree in Education and Counseling Psychology with a concentration in College Student Personnel from the University of Louisville. Lastly, Nakia is an Assistant Instructor for the course, ECPY 355: Developing Campus Leadership, at the University of Louisville.
