The Journal of Law and Education (JLE) is one of two highly respected law reviews at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. After more than a quarter of a century, the Journal of Law and Education continues to thrive as a leading journal in the field of education. Subscriptions to our internationally-known journal reach over 14 countries. The Journal of Law & Education is also available on the Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis databases. Members of the JLE, attorneys, and academics write articles that span across the constitutional and civil spectrum that America’s education system reflects. Furthermore, the JLE provides an essential resource for judges, lawyers, teachers, school administrators, and education practitioners. Educators and Legal Professionals across the country and around the world depend upon the JLE for information.

In the spring of your first year of law school, you will have the opportunity to apply for membership to the JLE. You will be asked to “write-on” to our law journal, as our decision will be based solely on the excellence of your writing. If selected, you will find that writing for a law review helps you develop invaluable analytical and writing skills that will follow you throughout your legal career. Not only will JLE membership sharpen your writing and research skills, it will also demonstrate to your potential employers your motivation to work hard and your commitment to academic scholarship.

We sincerely hope that you will consider joining the Journal of Law and Education. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
