Get Involved - Open SBA Positions

The Student Bar Association has two positions available for appointment and is looking for students who are eager to get involved within the law school community. The open positions are:

 

  • Student Government Association Senator: represents the interests of the Student Bar Association and keeps the Student Bar Association informed of all pertinent actions taken by the Student Government Association. One of the SGA Senators must serve on the SGA budget committee. Required to attend SGA committee and Senate meetings on throughout the year.

 

  • Technology Chair: responsible for all aspects of technology within the SBA.  The Technology Chair shall manage the SBA website and coordinate postings in the daily Student Organizations email. The Technology Chair is responsible for all SBA social media accounts.

 

Both positions are voting members of the SBA Assembly. If you wish to apply for a position, please email joshua.collins@louisville.edu with a brief explanation of why you would be an excellent SBA officer, along with a copy of your resume WITHOUT GPA or CLASS RANK. Submissions will be accepted up until noon of Friday, May 2nd. 

SBA Graduation Party - May 7

Looking for something to perk you up in the midst of the "study blues?" Start looking forward to the SBA Graduation Party!

All students are invited to attend the 2014 Graduation Party held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Appetizers and drinks will be provided, but you are expected to bring your own party pants!!

What: 2014 Graduation Party
When: Wednesday, May 7 8:00pm-12:00am
Where: Molly Malone's, Highlands (Baxter Avenue)
Why: To celebrate our graduates and the end of another successful year of law school!

Admission is free for 3Ls and their guests, $5 each for event pass holders and their guests, and $10 each for non-event pass holders and their guests.

Day at the Diamond - May 6, 6:35pm

3Ls! On May 6th, the SBA will be sponsoring a "Day at the Diamond!" The Louisville Bats play Norfolk at 6:35pm and all 3Ls are invited to attend the game, free of charge. Guests will be $5. We have reserved a block of Club seats (that are in the shade) and we will have access to the Jack Daniels Bar & Lounge. Please sign up using the following Google Form by FRIDAY, APRIL 18th AT NOON!! After this time, we will open the sign up sheet to the 1L and 2L classes to fill the remaining reserved seats, so make sure you sign up quickly! If you plan to bring a guest, please drop $5 off at the SBA Bookstore by Tuesday, April 22nd. Hope to see everyone there!!

Graduate Day at the Downs

The SBA will be hosting an on-campus brunch at 10am on Thursday May 8th, for graduating 3Ls and a guest. Racing begins at Churchill Downs at 12:45pm.
