1.  To promote and encourage professional competence in the study of law;

2.  To provide a liaison among students, faculty and alumni;

3.  To assume responsibility for student social affairs within the School of Law;

4.  To serve as a forum for the discussion of professional problems; and

5.  To enhance the professional reputation of the School of Law as well as its students and alumni.

Please consider running for office.  It does not require tremendous time to make tremendous difference.  The Election Rules will be available upon SBA approval and candidate interest meetings will occur the week of March 18th.

May 2013 Commencement Cap and Gown Orders

All law students (whether participating in the 10:00 a.m. University-wide ceremony and/or the 5:00 p.m. Law ceremony) order their graduation apparel from Herff Jones at https://collegegrad.herffjones.com or http://colleges.herffjones.com/college/louisville/ or https://collegegrad.herffjones.com/capgown/product/2205011.  The same apparel is worn by JD students regardless of what ceremony students choose to attend.  Students can visit the University Commencement webpage at http://louisville.edu/commencement for information on ordering caps and gowns, but that webpage then directs all students to the Herff Jones webpage for ordering.

The Herff Jones website currently reads that the commencement ceremony is Saturday May 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM. This is being changed to reflect the actual law school ceremony, which starts at 5:00 pm. Regardless, the ordering process remains the same.
