Jail Tour and Q&A Session

The Women's Law Caucus and Women Lawyers Association invite any interested students to sign up for a Question & Answer session with representatives from the Commonwealth Attorney's Office, the Office of Jefferson County Attorney, and the Jefferson County Public Defender's Office followed by a tour of the Jefferson County Corrections facility. The session and tour will take place on September 5 from 5:30-7:30.

Please email Courtney Pawley at crpawl01@louisville.edu no later than August 29, 2012 if you are interested in attending.

If you have already signed up, you will receive an email with final details on August 29 or 30.

What’s the difference between a mentor, a role model, networking, and a person who serves as a reference? How do you find a mentor? How do mentoring relationships work? Leaders in the legal profession will provide their perspectives on mentoring at an SBA sponsored panel.

Members of the bar will have 6-8 minute conversations with students (like a speed dating program). Students will speak to each mentor.

TODAY, Friday Feb. 24, is the final day to purchase t-shirts. You can order Spring shirts for $12 OR purchase black and gray t-shits.

Part of proceeds go to charity of purchaser's choice.

Deadline to submit money and forms is 12:30 so the order can be placed by 1:00.

1L Brief Binding Fundraiser for Central Partnership Program

The sign-up sheet for brief binding is at the Resource Center at this time. Professor Sweeny's class will need to have four briefs instead of three, so please tell Ms. Haney or Ms. Wenning in the Resource Center if you need eight sheets of paper instead of six.

Cost: Three Briefs and Cardstock Covers: $10.60

Four Briefs and Cardstock Covers: $14.00
