WLC Project Women Hygiene Drive
Posted March 20th, 2008 by AnonymousWLC Project Women Hygiene Drive
This year the WLC is hosting a Project Women Hygiene Drive.
Project Women is a collaborative organization that provides housing to single mothers who are experiencing homelessness and supports them in obtaining a baccalaureate degree, thereby enabling them to break the cycly of poverty for themselves and their children.
The biggest challenge is that so many of the more expensive items on a grocery bill are not covered by food stamps because they are not food. Thus, the women do not recieve proper hygiene products. We expect even the poorest people to practice good hygiene but we fail to recognize the need for the supplies to do so.
During March 24-28 2008, the WLC will collect hygiene products in the law school lobby. Below is a list of the items Project Women needs. When you drop your items off into the tubs you can enter your name onto the donation list. When your name is on the list, you will be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate to a local establishment. One member of each class will win a gift certificate.
Thank you for supporting the WLC and single women in the Louisville community.
