"A few years ago, I realized that my career as a professional musician was a season coming to its end. A career change was necessary. I looked for a school that would enable me to maximize my potential—a place where I could take a risk, dream, form a vision, and succeed. That place was here. The University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law gave me the opportunity and the tools that I needed to inspire and implement my vision. The experience surpassed my expectations. From the quality of the education to the guidance of the always-available faculty and staff, my gratitude for this institution’s richness and excellence is deep.
In May, I will become a third-generation graduate from the school: Arthur Thomas Sturgeon, Sr, Class of 1927; Arthur Thomas Sturgeon, Jr., Class of 1968; and now myself, Arthur Thomas Sturgeon III, Class of 2011—it is still too early to predict if we have a fourth-generation graduate in my three-year-old son, Arthur Thomas Sturgeon IV. Like many of my graduating colleagues, I look forward to a future serving the Louisville community. I will practice law at Frost, Brown, Todd in the Business Litigation Group."
