Seeking Nominations for Writing Awards

Two awards for legal writing will be presented at the Awards Program this spring.  Assistant Dean Kimberly Ballard is seeking nominations from faculty and staff and also from students who wish to self-nominate.  Please consider submitting your name and paper for consideration.  Nominations will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on March 8.  The student's name, year in school, and paper must be submitted by the deadline; late entries are not eligible.  Please note the award(s) for which you wish the paper to be considered.  A paper may be nominated for both awards if eligible.  Details are below.

Samuel L. Greenebaum Award for Achievement in Legal Writing.  For the law student (any year) who demonstrates the highest degree of excellence and achievement in legal writing.  Any written work, whether brief, article, or memorandum, prepared during the preceding year (Spring 2012, Summer 2012, Fall 2012) is eligible for consideration.

Andrew Franklin Young Writing Award.  For a senior, for demonstrated excellence in legal writing.  Any written work, whether brief, article, or memorandum, prepared during the student's law school career is eligible for consideration.
