SALDF Asks For Your Help!

SALDF asks you to make a donation to help neglected animals. Clean Slate Animal Rescue, a private "shelter" in Adair County, was recently closed and its owner charged with 295 counts of animal cruelty. More than 300 animals were seized, including dogs, cats, chickens, goats, pigs, donkeys and a horse. The animals housed at the facility were extremely neglected and suffered from malnourishment, respiratory problems, mange, skin infections, parasites and various other illnesses. Unfortunately, several animals were dead by the time officials reached them, and dozens more could not be helped and were euthanized. The Humane Society of the United States has transported many of these animals to the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society Shelter for treatment before being dispersed to shelters across the state for adoption. This massive rescue effort is in need of help. SALDF will be taking donations to help the shelters housing and treating these neglected animals. Donation bins will be in the Law School lobby all week for donated goods, and a table will be set up from 12 - 2 p.m on Tuesday, March 10th and Thursday, March 12th to collect cash donations. A list of items needed is included below. Thanks for all your help!

Items Needed: blankets, old towels, pet shampoo, paper towels, bleach, cedar shavings, and gloves.
