ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section Annual Law Student Writing Competition

Sponsor: TIPS Task Force on Outreach to Law Students

General criteria: The competition is open to any law school student in good academic standing who is a member of the ABA Law Student Division at the time of the deadline date for submission. Papers should address an essay on any part of the New Deal, a series of economic programs implemented in 1933-1936, passed by Congress during the first tem of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.  The Section will interpret the scope of the subject broadly to ensure that the Competition affords the greatest degree of flexibility in writing on these subject areas.  Papers submitted for law school course credit or a law school publication are eligible.

Deadline: April 1, 2013

Amount of Award: First prize includes $1,500 cash, airfare, and hotel accommodations to the Section's Annual Meeting in San Francisco, and possible publication.  Second prize is $500.
