Mary Anne Copeland, J.D., LL.M., joined the University of Louisville Office of Technology Transfer in July 2010 as a Contract and Compliance Specialist.  She received her J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and LL.M. in Intellectual Property, Commerce and Technology from the Franklin Pierce Law Center (now the University of New Hampshire School of Law). 

 

Mary Anne reviews and negotiates a variety of agreements, including material transfer agreements (MTAs) and nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), as well as licenses to university technology.  She enjoys serving as an adjunct professor at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law where she teaches a variety of intellectual property courses and has been invited to speak at the Louisville Bar Association on university technology transfer.
