Leadership Council on Legal Diversity in Mosaic Lobby Promoting 1L Mentoring Program - Tuesday Lunch Hour

Attorneys Stephanie Esposito Smith from UPS and Kelly Schulz from Frost Brown Todd will be in the Mosaic Lobby Tuesday, August 27th, over the lunch hour on behalf of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to speak with diverse 1L students about LCLD's 1L mentoring program. LCLD is an organization of over 60 corporate General Counsels and 120 law firm managing partners, formed in 2009 to make concrete, measureable advances in diversity in the legal profession.

LCLD member firms and companies in Louisville have identified a number of volunteer attorneys who would like to partner with diverse 1L students at Brandeis and serve as mentors. LCLD defines diversity under its program broadly to include students who are from racial and ethnic minorities; women; lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered; and persons with disabilities.  LCLD stresses that the organization is very inclusive as to diversity and encourages 1L students with diverse socio, economic, or educational backgrounds to consider participating in the mentorship program.

LCLD will be kicking off the 1L mentoring program soon and will be sharing more information about the program with interested students in the lobby. 1L students who may be interested in this mentoring program are encouraged to stop by the Mosaic Lobby and speak with Ms. Smith or Ms. Schulz starting at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
