Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Team Seeking Applicants
Interested in Labor and Employment Law? Try out for the Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Team!
When: Try-Outs will be held on Monday, October 21, Tuesday, October 22, and Wednesday, October 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Where: Try-Outs will be held in the Hebel Courtroom on Monday and Wednesday and LL80 on Tuesday. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the Moot Court Board Office door until 2:30 pm on Friday, October 18.
HOW: Sign up for a try-out time and return the Information Sheet, Personal Statement, and Optional Writing Sample to the folder on the Moot Court Board Office door by 2:30 pm on Friday, October 18. Including your GPA and/or Class Rank on the information sheet is optional. If you choose to do so, please place the information sheet in a sealed envelope.
Potential candidates must be prepared to present a 10 minute oral argument on University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center v. Nassar, 2013 U.S. LEXIS 4704 (June 24, 2013). Potential Candidates may be required to present either side of the case at the try-out.
WHY: Team members will learn valuable skills through their participation and will have the opportunity to compete in the Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition in New York City March 19-23, 2014.
