Holly Holland Houston began a Human Rights Section with Nima Kulkarni, an immigration lawyer, as Vice Chair to fill the gap in the LBA section offerings so that they now have a section to address immigration, civil rights (race, LGBTQ, women), international law and human trafficking. Their first seminar in October was a hit with Jeff Apperson on international rule of law, Ky. Rep. Sannie Overly and Gretchen Hunt on human trafficking, Nima Kulkarni on immigration basics and a representative from the Red Cross to talk about neutrality.
