Sign-Ups for the National Trial Competition
If you are a 2L, 3L, or 4L and would like to participate in one of the best trial advocacy competitions in the nation, now is the time to sign-up! The Regional Competition will take place in Michigan at Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in February 2012. The top two winners in each Region will compete in the National Competition in Austin, Texas, March 21-24, 2012.
The School will select two teams (consisting of two or three student attorneys) to compete in the Regional Competition in February 2012. This year’s Regional Problem will be released mid-November. It will be a civil problem. Participants may earn up to 2.0 hours of academic credit.
Please sign up on the sheet posted on the Moot Court Board door. Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, October 18th. Please bring one copy of your resume to the tryout. In addition, prepare and deliver an opening statement or a closing argument based on a past NTC problem – Krista Chaona Harbour v. Southern Comfort Life Insurance Company.
