Additional VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Training Will Be Available
There are still spots available for students who are interested in taking the VITA training on January 21 here at the law school. If you are interested in taking this training, please see Jina Scinta to obtain the necessary paperwork by no later than Wednesday, January 18 .
Several students have indicated that they would like to take the VITA training, but are unable to attend the training on January 21. Nedra Young from VITA has suggested an alternative to students who wish to participate, but can't attend the January 21 training. VITA training will be made available to our students during the week of February 6 at Davidson Hall here on campus. Students who wish to take the training will need to make arrangements with the trainer directly. The trainer's contact information will be made available to the students who sign up. Students can take the training at their convenience. The training will last for a couple of hours a day for approximately three days. VITA will then have a clinic at Davidson Hall where students can participate after they have been trained. Clinics will also be scheduled at various locations, dates and times throughout the city through April 15.
If you are a third year student who still needs to sign up for their public service requirement, this would be good opportunity for you.
Please contact Jina Scinta at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in this project. Please indicate whether you are interested in the January 21 training or the training at Davidson Hall.
