1L Students: Consider Donating Your Flash Drive to Family Scholar House

Family Scholar House (FSH) is an organization that provides single parent families with the resources that they need to help break the cycle of poverty through education. This past Friday, some of our first-year law students volunteered at FSH, organizing items from a school supply drive based on the specific needs of the parents and their children. Though most of the needs have been met, it has come to our attention that flash drives are in high demand, as the families may not always have easy access to a computer or printer.

The students that volunteered for this service project remembered that they all received a free 1GB USB drive from LexisNexis during orientation. Many law students either already have a flash drive, or use internet services such as iCloud and DropBox.

If you would like to donate your flash drive to FSH, please drop it off in Dean Ballard's office this week.  Students who donate their flash drive on Tuesday, August 21, will receive a second raffle ticket for the 1L Daily Docket drawings.  Professor Kathy Bean will deliver all donated flash drives to FSH at the end of the week.
