Students:  Don't forget to check the Student Life website for information regarding writing competitions open to law students.  https://www.law.louisville.edu/node/7044  There are typically cash prizes awarded that may range from $500 to $5,000.  Currently, we have information posted for the Securities Law Writing Competition ($5,000, $3,000, and $2,000 cash prizes); the American College of Legal Medicine's Writing Competition (1,000, $500, and $250 cash prizes); the Public Land & Resources Writing Competition (1,000, $500, and $250 cash prizes); and the Planning and Law Division Writing Competition ($2,500, $500, and $250 cash prizes).  Most of the submission deadlines are in 2013, so you have plenty of time to polish your work!  Writing competition information is also posted on the bulletin board outside classroom 275.
