Ed Monahan is Kentucky Public Advocate of the Department of Public Advocacy, Kentucky’s statewide public defender program representing 161,000 clients in Kentucky’s 120 counties at trial and post-trial. He is Chair of the American Council of Chief Defenders, the nation’s chief defenders. He is a member of the American Bar Association Task Force on the Preservation of the Justice System, formerly a member of the KBA Ethics Committee and past president of the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
