Public Service Program Information Session - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program
This is a reminder that the Office of Professional Development will be hosting an information session for all students on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Room 275. Nedra Young from the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance ("VITA") program will be speaking to our students about how they can sign up to be trained to assist low income individuals with their tax returns during the upcoming tax season. Once students are trained they can then participate in tax clinics at various locations around the city. This is a great opportunity for any student who still needs to fulfill their public service requirement.
A list of dates and locations for the VITA training is attached, along with job descriptions available for volunteers.
Pizza and drinks will be provided. See you there!
