Additional competitions may be added. If there is a specific competition or an area of law that is not currently listed and you would like to see included, please inform the Moot Court Board of your interest.

Moot Court Board Interviews April 9

Interviews for the Moot Court Board will be held this Friday, April 9. All students interested in becoming a part of the Moot Court Board must first complete an application and sign up for an interview.

Applications and the interview sign-up list are located on the door of the MCB office.

National Moot Court Team Tryouts

Try-outs for the 2008-09 National Moot Court Team will be held on Thursday and Friday, April 17th and 18th. To compete, you must submit a brief to Professor Marcosson by Friday, April 11th, and be prepared to perform an oral argument of that brief on either the 17th or the 18th (a sign-up sheet with times will be posted on Prof. Marcosson's office door, Room 254). All returning students are eligible for the team -- you will be eligible for two hours of academic credit and have a great time representing the law school at the regional competition in Richmond, VA., next fall (and -- we hope -- the national finals in New York in January 2009). If you have any questions, see Prof. Marcosson or e-mail him at smarcosson@louisville.edu.

I have posted on the bulletin board in the MCB office a list of the competitions from this year. By Wednesday, April 3, please write on the sheet next to your team where the team finished and whether they won any particular accolates (e.g., best brief, best oralist).

Moot Court Board Elections will be held Thursday, March 27th at noon in room 075. Sign-ups are on the door of the MCB office. This is a mandatory meeting for ALL Moot Court Board members. For information about positions, pick up a copy of the MCB Constitution in the office.
