SBA Run-Off Election on TWEN: Vote Monday through Thursday at Noon

Run-Off Election to determine 2L Honor Council Representatives and Alternate begins Monday at 9 AM and ends Thursday at 12 PM.  Please vot on TWEN under the same 2013 SBA Elections.  Go to Customized Polling on the left hand side and pick Honor Council Run-Off Election.  The Election Results are also released. 2L Honor Council:  To Be Determined by Run-off Election between Hayleigh Hurt, Miranda S. Ratcliffe, and Alexandra Chase Williams.  Two will be on the Honor Council, and one will be an Alternate.  The Run-off Election will occur on TWEN, begin Monday, April 8, 2013 at 9 AM, and close Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 12 PM.  The Run-off Election was extended due to the success of the University’s Basketball Teams!

Congratulations!  The last SBA meeting of the year is April 16, 2013 at 8:30 PM. in Room 175.  Current and Newly-Elected Officers are expected to attend.   If you cannot attend, you must email Charlie Rowland (charleswrowland@gmail.com) 24 hours in advance.  Honor Council Members and Alternates should plan to attend this meeting, or set an alternate time and send notice to Mr. Rowland, to discuss transitional matters.

Career Week - Today's Lineup

Today, April 4 at 1pm in room 175, Education Law and Public Policy Society will be hosting an event for Career Week. The event will focus on various aspects of this field, the nature of law and role of attorneys related to education, and opportunities in the city of Louisville. Speakers will include  Teddy Gordon (solo practitioner), Oliver Barber (Barber, Banaszynski & Associates), Byron Leet (Wyatt Tarrant Combs), Angela Koshewa (University of Louisville). Food will be provided.

3Ls! Last call to be on 2013 Composite!

Next Tuesday, April 9 is the deadline to submit Own Photoes to Digital Pix for the 2013 Composite.  Please follow the attached instructions.  Self-submitted photos should include your head and shoulders.  Passport photographs will work, but tell the photographer you are taking composite photographs (per instructions from a Walgreen's associate).

SBA Elections close at noon today.  Please take 5 minutes to vote on TWEN.  Due to an error on my part, there will be a Run-Off Election next week to determine the 2L  Honor Council Members.  If any other races are tied, those will be included as well.

Today, April 3 at 12pm in room 174, Sports and Entertainment Law will be hosting an event for Career Week. The event will focus of various aspects of this field, the nature of law and role of attorneys related to sports and entertainment, and opportunities within the city of Louisville. Speakers will include Kyle Anne Citrynell (Seiller Waterman LLC), Jeremy J. Beck (Ackerson & Yann).

The event will focus on the various aspects of this field, the nature of law and role of attorneys related to the environment, and opportunities within the city of Louisville. Speakers will include Randal Strobo (W.H. Graddy & Associates), Mary Stephens (KY Division of Water), Bob Ehrler (LG&E Senior Counsel), and
Stephen Porter (Solo Practicioner). Food will be provided.

Career Week continues

Today, April 1 at 12pm in room 175, Labor/Employment Law Society will be hosting an event for Career Week. The event will focus on the difference between labor and employment, the nature of law and role of attorneys in this field, and opportunities within the city of Louisville. Speakers will include Chris Sanders from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Irwin "Buddy" Cutler from Priddy, Cutler, Miller, and Meade, and Emily Lamb from Wyatt Tarrant & Combs. Food will be provided.
